Helping trauma patients through research and continued education
Trauma surgery has to save lives under the most difficult of conditions. But that is not all. After initial emergency measures, patients need treatment that will improve their prognosis and their quality of life. The Swiss Trauma Foundation therefore promotes research at all levels.
Finding innovative treatments To further increase their chances of survival, new treatments have to be developed for (mostly younger) seriously injured patients.
Achieving clinical progress Professionals rely on new techniques and methods that significantly improve prognoses even in the case of patients with complex injuries.
Intensifying training and continued education New methods, technologies and treatment approaches are only truly effective if professionals receive optimal training and continued education.
