Projects of the Swiss Trauma Foundation

The Swiss Trauma Foundation supports research projects that are aimed at improving trauma surgery for accident victims.

Specialised teams at the trauma surgery clinic are collaborating with other specialist departments, conducting over 60 scientific research projects and linking research results with everyday clinical practice.

Research at the Swiss Trauma Foundation is conducted in the following areas:

  • Osteology
  • Stem cell research
  • Biomechanics
  • Translational research
  • Pathophysiology in case of serious injuries
